Gradient of Disorder News: New song release

It has been some time, but G.O.D. has released a new song:

Oberstleutnant Östereich is our spin on the Austrian military and national anthem. We follow the question "everybody knows Captain America, but what would the Austrian equivalent would be?".

If you assume that it is also a parody of the Austrian Superheroes comics, which features Captain Austria, that is a reasonable assumption. But it is wrong. We started working on this song in 2011. Yes, we are that slow.

Next step is putting it on Spotify as well with a nice cover art and eventually add a few more songs for our coming EP. Just don't hold your breath.

Stay epic!

20 Years of Disorder: Retrospective

The anniversary gig was epic, as we wanted it to be. Awesome crowd, we played comparatively well, and even survived being raided by Captain Merchandise and recurring nudists.

Thanks again to Lights in Bambi's Garden and Salon for supporting us!

Many a T-shirt was sold, and we released a new song: Oberstleutnant Österreich, our... let's call it patriotic song.

At this opportunity, I want to reflect a bit on Gradient of Disorder. I am privileged to have found friends and bandmates to do music with for over twenty years now. Having the time, interest, and compatibility for that is not to be taken for granted.

That's why I chose "the turtle wins the race" as a tagline - we might not be especially fast or talented with our instruments, but we are still there. That makes me humble, proud, but mostly thankful for the support by our community and the friends made along the way.

I am already saving ideas for the 40 year anniversary.

Stay epic!

20 years of Disorder: 5.12.2025

Yes, my band Gradient of Disorder is still around, more than 20 years to be precise. Because our anniversary was during my UK stay, the commemorative show had to wait, but soon it will be time:

The opening act will be a very special suprise even to the ones of you used to our usual madness. ;-)

Stay epic!

The State of Gradient Of Disorder

Some people might know and still remember Gradient of Disorder, the... special metal band founded in a physics lecture. Good news first: We are still around!

For all who do not know us, you can check out our homepage or youtube channel.

More realistic news: While we had planned to release our first album over a year ago, not too long after our ten-year-anniversary, this got delayed by acute cases of life distracting us. But the album recordings are in fact still continuing, slow but purposeful. You can at least check out a teaser on youtube showing of the excellent sound quality!
Indeed most songs are already wrapped up and heading for mastering, but enough fiddly bits are left to make me doubt a release in 2018. But definitely latest in 2019 it will happen!
After the album release, we will definitely continue our infamous live shows, therefore stay tuned.

Stay Epic!
